Our lil' boy turned one year old today! It's amazing how fast this year has flown by, I still see so vividly in my mind the day he was born.

What a wonderful suprise Austin was...our first son! It has been such a new and exciting experience to raise a boy, so different from the girls, but just as wonderful. Now, Austin can walk, laugh, eat table food, has 2 teeth, drink from a sippy cup, etc... I get teary-eyed just thinking about our time together over the past year. Heck, I get all teary-eyed thinking of all the things he will do in the future, all the father-son things he will get to do with Randy, someday at his wedding getting to dance the mother/groom dance, him leaving the nest and venturing out into the world on his own, etc... How boring life would be without our children! The first thing I did was sing "Happy Birthday" to Austin when I got him out of the crib this morning. Austin asked for a football cake and cookies for his birthday dinner...so of course I said yes. We celebrated with all his grandaparents and Aunt Steph.

Can you tell he loved the cake..ha! ha!

He really loved the handmade cards from Lexus and Kimberly. He loved all his presents, but his new Handy Manny rolling suitcase was his favorite. All he wanted to do was walk around with it.

Austin is going to have a pirate-themed 1st birthday party in two weeks, I can't wait to show you pics of the cake when I make it.
Lexus had her Christmas party at school today and sang in the chorus concert for the whole school this morning. Plus I included a pic of her painting at her Art party today. Today, was my last day as the Art teacher. I will miss it, but I am looking forward to Kindergarten in January!

Happy Birthday, Mr. Austin! And, oh my gosh, Lexus is growing up too! She's going to be a knock-out someday - watch out mom and dad!!!!
Awh, I have the cutest godson in the whole world! He looks like he had so much fun with his cake. I cannot wait to celebrate with Captain Austin on New Years Day.
