Birthdays All Around!

Lexus & Kimberly started their rec soccer seasons this weekend. Kimberly's team won 5-2 and she was such a joy to watch. She even played goalie part of the game. Lexus' team tied 3-3. It was such a BIG change this year moving to the larger field and playing 40 minute halves.

We finally got around to having our family birthday party yesterday...it was fantastic!!! Everyone had fun in the pool/hottub, snacking on delicious foods, and the Ossege boys even provided some of the most unique entertainment..hee hee! My husband even showed his MAD hair styling skills braiding my niece Lauren's hair. Lexus and Kimberly LOVED everything they receieved and enjoyed using the gift cards today.

Blessed Are We!!!

This week has proven just how blessed Randy & I are. It was just a typical, crazy, busy, full week in the life of the Ossege family, but isn't that where we truely see the blessings in our life...in the everyday things we do with each other. It was sooooo nice to spend so much time together as a family this past week. Randy is fourtunate to have a road job at home (Cincy, OH) so he has been able to help me drop off/pick up the girls up from school and take them to soccer practice (4 times a week). I started an adult outdoor soccer league and didn't hurt myself Wednesday night. It was pretty exciting to be playing soccer again. Schedules have kicked into overdrive and we are still adding more each day. My new cell phone - Droxid X - should help with keeping our schedules all on track along with my trusty calendar :) I can't wait for this weekend - more family time at soccer games, b-day party, football game, etc...

Kimberly was asked to join the Primary Talent Pool at school! This means she has been identified as having high potential in one or more of the following areas: {intellectual ability, specific academic ability, creativity, leadership and/or visual & performing arts} We haven't been told which one yet. She will participate in TAP (Talent Academic Program). We are so proud of her!

Here are some pics of more summer fun! The view of Austin on his bike is all I ever see as I chase him down the street. I never knew a 2 1/2 ys. old could be so fast on a trike. The last pic is of the train he built in the dining room with our chairs.

New Addition

We have a new addition to our living room. This fabulous coat rack!!! Randy & I have been looking for one for several years that fit our vision. The elusive coat rack was no where to be found. My talented B-I-L made this one for us; doesn't it look stunning. It is everything we wanted in a coat rack and more. He delivered it Friday night. We went to the Highlands football game(they won!). When we got home Kimberly walked into the living room and said "Mom, somebody dropped off a piece of furniture". She said it so matter of factly, like pieces of furniture appear all the time.

Lexus played in the Dog Days soccer tournament this weekend. This was the first 3 games she has played with her select soccer team.

Happy Birthday Kimberly!

Yesterday, Kimberly turned 6 years old!!! When she woke up I asked her "Do you feel older?" and her response "I feel tired!" Guess 7:oo a.m. wasn't the best time to ask that..hee hee! She looked cute as a button in her black polka dot dress and black flats. She said she had a fabulous day at school and her favorite part of teh day was when I brought in her birthday treat to share with the class. She picked out a horse cupcake cake (cake made from 24 individual cupcakes) from Kroger. While it was adoreable; it was really, really, really messy!

We celebrated with grandparents and Aunt Steph later that evening. We had spaghetti & meatballs for dinenr and a Hello Kitty cake for dessert. She recieved many wonderful presents and loved everything!!!

Back-To-School 2010

OMG! It is soooo hard to believe our little girls are starting first and fifth grade today. We got to go as a whole family to take the girls to school this year. Being a good mom, I played paparazzi the whole morning documenting every key moment from breakfast...to the car ride...to waiting out front of school with the neighbors Amelia and Adian.

We dropped Lexus off first; reminding her she was big man on campus this year as a 5th grader. She liked the sound of that! She was happy to see her friends again!

Kimberly was all too eager to get to her classroom. She raced thru the hallway to get there. She settled right in and not a tear was in sight. We are very lucky we have never had a single tear shed each year as we send them off to school. They have always embraced school with enthusiasm!

Last, a cute pic of Austin helping me at Kroger!

Best Neighbors Ever!

We headed out to dinner with our FABULOUS neighbors last night. I think everyone would agree hands down that it was a great night with lots of laughter :) Even though we do spend alot of time together hanging out on the street with the kids; it was time for an adults-only night. The blue drink in the pic is called an Electric Lemonade...yum yum! We couldn't ask for better neighbors!!!

Three good-lookin' mamas!

Birthday Madness

We will celebrating 10 BIRTHDAYS tomorrow on the Ossege side! Crazy huh? We found it was soooo much easier to have one BIG birthday bash than attending birthday parties every other weekend. It's pretty relaxed - swimming, tons of appetizers, drinks, cake & of course presents. My creative juices have been flowing intermittenly lately, but luckily they were in full swing yesterday to make 8 awesome birthday cards for my nieces and nephews.

Two pics of the kids squeezing in more summer fun before school! We met Kimberly's teacher last night at 1st grade orientation and I love Mrs. M! She runs things alot like how I would if I had a classroom of my own. I just know Kimberly will have a memorable year in 1st grade. Plus, she has the greatest room mom in the world - me!

We have the weirdest peppers growing on our plant - two peppers one stem (one is red; one is green). How does that happen???

All About Austin

Here is the thank you card I made for Quan for getting us on-field tickets to Bengals 2010 training camp.

Here are several pics of Austin at my parent's house/home this past Sunday on the tractor, helping Grandpa with the horseshoe pits, his truck, and the chickens...
