This Week's Highlights...

Kimberly was on fire this week in soccer! She scored her first ever soccer goal last Saturday (which I missed...boo!) and scored her first ever hat trick on Tuesday (which I did see!) She has really gained a lot of confidence since last year and it is amazing to watch the transformation!
Lexus auditioned for the middle school play Annie Jr. She choose a really funny monologue about the children's book Goodnight Moon, sang A Spoon Full of Sugar from Marry Poppins and had to dance one of the routines from the play. She was very aprehensive about her audition, but called with joy and relief after it was over. She was so happy it turned out to be easier and less scary than she thought. This Saturday she will be auditioning for QUEST in Vocal Music. Keep your fingers crossed for her!!!

I am now officially 32 and it feels great! My totally awesome, fantastic, amazing, wonderful, caring, thoughtful, loving husband got me tickets to see WICKED opening weekend!!! (to many adjectives?...he deserves them all!) Randy and the kids got me the most decadent chocolate mouse/raspberry cake and sang me the best rendition of Happy Birthday you ever heard! My wonderful Dad brought me & Austin lunch which we ate while tailgating at his preschool.

Pinterest

The best thing since sliced bread...
If you are a visual person like me, Pinterest is a plethora of pictures showcasing fashion, recipes, crafts, furniture, inspirational sayings, hairstyles, home decorating ideas, etc... You can post a picture of just about anything on Pinterest! The fab thing about Pinterest is it allows you to keep the pics you love on virtual bulletin boards. Even better, they will still be there when you computer crashes, because you can access Pinterest from anywhere and it is all stored on the web.  Each pic is linked to the original website/blog. You can have infinite boards and they can be organized how ever your little heart desires. My boards right now are: Crafting Ideas, Recipes To Try, Fashion I LOVE, Kid Stuff I LOVE, Teaching Ideas, Dream Home Ideas, and Holiday Ideas.

I have already tried 6 new recipes for dinner and created several card ideas from my boards. I have found tons of great things to do with the kids and holiday ideas I can't wait to try this holiday season. There is one down fall to Pinterest if you choose to view it that way and it is that Pinterest is extremely ADDICTING!!! It is my favorite thing to do in the morning with a hot beverage as the kids eat breakfast or do when I have a spare moment to check in and see what I might be missing or at night when I want to unwind (and just for good measure make sure I am not missing anything!)
This statement is so true!

You can invite friends and share your boards if you have common interests. For example Dana and I are friends and follow each others boards. You can "repin" any picture you see on a friends board or the community board. Another great thing about Pinterest is the "Pin It" button you install in your toolbar. This allows you to pin any picture on the Internet to one of your boards and add comments about the pic.

Sick of butterflies yet??? Here are more of my world famous cards (hee hee)...

Happy Thursday!!!!

Fall Is In The Air!

My system is still in shock from the 30 degree temperature drop this past weekend. While I LOVE Fall and all the jeans/sweater/boots combos I get to wear, not sure I am ready for such a drastic change...can't we ease into it over the next month??? This post is full of random things!

Here are pics of a Barbie fashion show put on by the girls a couple weeks ago. Lexus was in charge of lighting and Kimberly was the designer. It was so cute to watch as they presented from behind the curtains in their room.

Fall also gets us excited because it is the start of football season! (Highlands Bluebirds and NFL football) The girls were showing their Bluebird spirit all day last Thursday for Highlands defeat against Dixie!
Lexus went to her first official pep rally with her friend Shelby and her cousins Lauren and Sydney. She had fun getting her face painted and hair sprayed blue & white.
Lexus and her friend Shelby after their 1st Pep Rally!

Austin rockin' a faux hawk and cool shades!

Pics of cards:

Love the 3-D butterfly I created!

A boy and his dog digging together...doesn't get better than that!
Pics of several cards I made recently ;-)

Randy took the girls fishing down at the lake by the Southgate Community Center. Everyone caught something and had fun! The same day we took lots of extended family Osseg pics at Tower park, I can't wait to see how they turn out!
Kimberly and her BIG catch!
