Better Late Than Never…

** This post is over a week late, but I hope you enjoy it anyway J

Lexus had a fabulous soccer game last Thursday night, no goals this time but she played her heart out. Austin and Kimberly had fun running around on the empty field behind us. Kimberly learned a valuable lesson about rolling around in the grass…it makes you itchy! I don't think she will do that anytime soon, she was sooo miserable until I could give her a bath. CCD has come to an end, next year Kimberly will join Lexus.

Austin is proving to be full of surprises and much harder to raise than the girls were. Sunday morning, he stuck a pretend CD all the way in the Wii!!! I immediately went into panic mode, googling the Internet for the magic answer. All I kept finding was a link to a you-tube video on how to take your Wii apart. (Iike I could successfully do that and get it back together in one piece and working…yeah right!) But alas, I did save the day and remove it from the Wii. How you ask? MacGyver style – pair of scissors, flashlight and kid-safe fruit knife. He then tested my mad skills by placing a mini-CD in the built-in DVD player on the new TV in our room. Luckily, this one didn't go in all the way I and I could pull it out with needle nose pliers.

This may honestly be the most boring thing I have ever posted on here, but we are so excited about it. There is actually grass growing on our front hill!!! Ever since the gas company came and moved the meter to the outside of the house and rerouted the pipe; everywhere they worked has been barren. My yard was not left looking as good or better after they dug things up. It has proven extremely difficult to grow grass on a steep hill. The seed would always wash off. We have found success in Scott's new formulated grass seed for hard to grow areas. Yea!

Scooby has been sitting on the nest laying plenty of eggs. We decided to mark two eggs and let her continue to sit on them. We are hoping that maybe one or both will hatch J It would be so amazing to come out one day and find baby chicks in the coop.

Here is my last BB of the year for my room…kinds sad but ready for summer!
