Before I share all of our recent Fall adventures with you, I have BIG news to announce…I HAVE A JOB!!!!!!!! I have accepted a Title 1 Reading position. I am the happiest woman in the world right now! My loving husband showered me with a beautiful bouquet of flowers (including my favorite…star gazer lilies) and champagne. We celebrated Friday night with the champagne and a fancy dinner of Larosas' pizza (yum!)
Back to our Fall adventures! Monday, the kids enjoyed a fall tradition of jumping in a HUGE leaf pile. They had a ball jumping in and throwing big bunches of leaves in the air. Thursday, we went on the Pumpkin Walk at the Fort with our relatives Matt, Ann, Natalie, & Nicole and our neighbors Will & Sydney. We are always surprised by the creativeness of the citizens of our great city. Austin even found one he wanted to sink his teeth into. It looked good enough to eat.
The girls both celebrated Halloween at school on Friday. It is Moyer tradition for the Kindergarteners to wear their Halloween costumes to school and parade through all the classrooms. So, of course I had to stop being a teacher and slip into proud mom mode to take pictures of Kimberly when she came in my classroom. I may be extremely bias, but she had the best costume out of the whole Kindergarten. I was really lucky that my students had a special and I was able to spend an hour at her Halloween party. The room moms did a fabulous job planning games, crafts, and snacks for the kids to make. I am one of the room moms for Lexus' class and was able to sneak in for a peek at her party as well. They were in the middle of a game of Halloween bingo. We had also made goodie bags for each kid to enjoy during the bingo game.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! I LOVE this holiday, it always takes you back to being a child and reminiscing about all the great and not so great costumes you wore. Plus, it's the one day you can dress up as anything you want to be and it totally acceptable. This year, the kids were super adorable (but aren't they always) as Dorothy, Little Bo Peep and a crocodile. They had a blast trick-or-treating and came home with loads of yummy candy.
