Happy 4th of July!!!

We hope everyone had an exciting 4th of July weekend!(despite the rain) We started our holiday weekend watching Lexus run the kids race and Randy run the Firecracker 5000 at the Fort. Lexus ran a mile in 10 mins. 15 secs., her cousin Lauren ran it in 7 mins. 20 secs. Randy, Ryan, & Russell all ran the Firecracker 5000 which is a 5K race (3.2 miles). Randy ran it in under 26 minutes.






Next, we watched the Fot Thomas 4th of July parade in the rain! It wasn't too bad and stopped raining halfway through the parade. This time Austin was ready for the sirens and didn't even flinch. He loved the red fire trucks again. The girls showed their spirit wearing shirts that read "miss independent" (Lexus) and "little sparkler" (Kimberly). Mom, Dad, and Steph watched the races and parades with us.







We spent the afternoon swimming at Russ and Melanie's house and Randy took the girls up to the Fort for the fireworks show.

On Saturday morning, we went blueberry picking with Randy's family. It was our first time and we went on their busiest weekend yet. We picked over 15 lbs. of blueberries...yum! yum! These aren't yourregular blueberries at the grocery store, they are huge, plump, juicy blueberries!
