Night At The Races

Austin had his 15 month checkup on Friday and he is finally starting to put on some weight. He is in the 70th percentile for both height and weight. He has never made it past the 35th percentile for weight until now! Dr. Pappas said he had the best disposition of any baby he's seen. He told me most babies scream and cry at this particular checkup, but not Austin! Unfortunately, that didn't last when he received two shots at the end of the visit...thank goodness for lollipops! They seem to make everything better.

Lady luck was with us Friday night as we joined a group of Randy's co-workers and their families at Turfway Race Track. It was a great night! We got to watch a horse that our friend Ryan is training. I won a few minor bets and my amazing husband hit the Trifecta in the 8th race. The winning numbers were 1, 5, 4!!! It was only a $2.00 bet and he won around $45.00, kinda makes us wish we had bet more in hindsight. It could of funded our next home improvement project. But, we are not big betters and never will be. We won enough to pay for our night of fun and have a little left over, that's good enough for us!

Saturday, Lexus started spring soccer on a new team. They lost by two points, but I think all the teams were mixed up this season. I think everyone is kind of on a learning curve right now. Lexus is #1!...plus her jersey number is literally #1.

Today, we are taking the kids to go see Monsters Vs. Aliens. We are still deciding 2-D vs. 3-D. We all need to get out of the house, this crummy, rainy weather is putting a damper on our spirits.
