Chickie Wickie
Beloved Pet
2008-2009
We are all saddened by the loss of our pet chicken Chickie Wickie who passed away on Monday. She will be greatly missed! Kimberly has been really upset over this and wants to believe Chickie Wickie is up in heaven eating her favorite bugs. We suspect another animal got in the cage and ate Chickie Wickie. She was discovered missing on Tuesday and there were many signs of an animal getting into her cage. Being the best Daddy in the world, Randy came home last night and started researching how to get another chicken or hatch eggs. Kimberly said she wanted another Silkie. We just won a bid on Ebay for seven buff and blue silkie hatching eggs to incubate and hatch.
This past week was just just so chaotic! I forgot a half dozen things, laundry piled up, nobody slept, and yet several great things happened! YEEHAW! Friday it was hat day at Wise Owl and Kimberly wore her cowgirl hat. She was so proud of it. Friday night, was craft night with my girlfriends and I made teacher thank you cards, aren't they so cute with the apple.

Saturday, we celebrated Ossege birthdays and Lexus had a soccer game. They rented one of those bouncy houses, so the kids had a blast. The adults enjoyed some spirited games of Foosball.

Randy and Matt shot two turkeys Sunday morning (a jake and a tom). Austin wasn't too fond of the turkeys. Lexus, Sydney and Megan were in the Elementary Performing Arts Spring Program on Sunday for chorus. They sang four pieces, our favorite was Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride. There were 135 students singing in the program from all three elementary schools.

Today, we are headed to the eye doc for Lexus. She has had glasses since October and she is already having difficulty seeing the board from the back of the room again. We were told her eye sight would worsen overtime and eventually hit a plateau. But, we were not prepared for it to worsen so quickly.
