We're EGG-static!!!

The eggs are here! The eggs are here! Hip! Hip! Horray! The eggs are here! All seven eggs arrived safe and sound in the mail today. Our whole family is bursting with excitment! The next 21 days are going to be agony for all of us, we are just so anxious to see the chicks hatch. There is no way to tell which egg will produce a buff or blue chick, they all look the same. We had to mark each egg with a black line as a reference point for turning them. This is done so the chick doesn't become permanently stuck to the side of the egg. They are all nestled snuggly in the incubator at a toasty 99.5 degrees.

If you haven't noticed yet, I added a chick countdown on the left hand side(designed by me). This way everyone can see at a glance how many days are left till the chicks hatch.

Lexus was part of the high school robotics team's demonstration on Wednesday at her school. Her team won and she came home with a rubber duck. It was a really impressive to watch the demonstration.

I promise to share some pics of the amazing flowers we planted this year, so here they are...

We really tried to find unique flowers you don't see in everyone else's flowerbeds. Our rarest find was a plant with triangular purple leaves. As soon as Randy and I spotted it, we knew we had to have it. We found another one that produced tiny white flowers. We put them in a hanging basket. I am anxious to see them full grown this summer. We still bought the old go-to flowers/plants like pansies and impatients, etc... We bought 10 ferns to cover the muddy mess under the deck.
