Miscellaneous

The name of this post says it all...it contains lots of miscellaneous information! My grandmother just had hip surgery yesterday. All went well and she is recovering now. The kids have made her some of the cutest get well cards. I will post them tomorrow. Another reason why I love having kids, they do the silliest things that put a smile on your face. Austin has recently discovered the potty in the Little People Home Sweet Home. So, being a good momma, I put a Little People boy on the potty and tell Austin what he is doing (not that he really understands me). Austin immediately knocks the figure off the potty and proceeds to lift up the potty lid, put down the potty lid, lift up the potty lid, etc... for the next 10 minutes. No Joking!!! So, now every time we put one of the Little People on the potty, he immediately goes over, knocks them off and continues lifting and dropping the lid. I am always amazed at what entertains kids for hours (wrapping paper, boxes, etc..)

As for me, I have had a steady stream of sub jobs for both Moyer and Johnson. Randy just ordered a new scope for his gun for hunting season, which is less than a month away. Randy and his brother Matt got picked to go on a quota hunt this December on a military base down in Kentucky. The minimum size of the buck you can shoot is a 15 inch spread on the antlers...so no puny, wimpy bucks on this trip. The rules for this hunt are crazy because it is on a military base. You have to remove the cigarette lighter in your car before coming on the base. Also, the boys have to attend a meeting at 3:45 a.m. to go over safety regulations for the hunt. Who is gonna remember anything at 3:45 in the morning! They escort you to your hunting spot, warn you if you leave your area of the dire consequences, and escort you back at the end of the day.

Poor, Poor Kimberly! Last night, she tried to turn the light on in her room (not at the switch, but on the actual fan). Needless to say, she climbed to the top bunk, the fan was on, reached for the cord and received a nice goose egg on her forehead as the fan blade hit her. So, we applied ice to get the swelling down and gave her Tylenol for the pain. Then, we calmly explained for the 1,000th time to not go on the top bunk if the fan is on and to let Mommy and Daddy turn the light/fan on and off. Unfortunately, no matter where we put the girls bunk beds in their room the fan overlaps the top bunk a little. Tonight, Lexus has her 2nd cross country race (promise to take pics this time). We all going to the Highlands vs. Cov Cath football game too.

Here are a slew of cards (Halloween & Thanksgiving) I made for the raffle basket for our family reunion. The other three cards, I created wanting cards that looked very feminine. I am working on more Thanksgiving cards and will post them soon.
