Post Crazy Weekend

Alright! So this is my 3rd post this weekend, I know! I normally lump it all together, but it just seemed like we had a lot to share this weekend. Yesterday, Lexus played soccer and showed how tough she was again. A big red-headed monster (I know this isn't nice to say, but she was) of a girl plowed into her on the field. She came out of the game for a second to regain her composure and went right back in. They lost the game, but Lexus played her heart out.



Next, we headed to our family reunion, which was really a lot of fun. The kids made crafts, got their faces painted, painted fingernails, played on the jungle gym, etc... While, us adults gossiped and caught up with one another. It was good food, good family, good times! Austin was his usual self, not allowing anyone to hold him without screaming his little lungs off.



We have started a new tradition with our girls, which they absolutely love. We bathe them, PJ them, and put them in bed. Then we set up the laptop, pop the popcorn, get drinks, and pick a movie. We turn out the lights and they have their own personal movie theatre in the bedroom. They think this is the coolest and a special treat. Randy and I do the same thing minus the popcorn. It's so nice to get cozy and comfortable in your bed and watch a movie. Plus, we love how cheap it is, esp. if you rent a movie from Redbox. Who can beat $1.00+ tax for a movie!

Today, was the battle of the losers...Bengals vs. Browns! The Browns won the game, so I guess that makes the Bengals the losers. We still support the Bengals, but we would love to see them win at least one game. We don't want them to be known for having the first all losing record.

Today, my grandma came home from the hospital. Tomorrow night, we are going to take over the cards we made her and some vegetable soup to help her recuperate. We also took the kids to the Big Top festival after the game for a little more fun. Kimberly hasn't stopped talking about it since she got a free game ticket from Wise Owl. I think she would of disowned us as parents if we didn't take her. The kids had fun playing games and really enjoyed the inflatable rides. Lucky us! We won the camping basket (actually 2 huge baskets). The baskets were filled with so much stuff it would take forever for me to list it all. Actually, our family was really lucky: my SIL won the $250 cash prize and my in-laws won a silent auction on a beautiful cherry wood chest created by my BIL's Russell and Matt.



Randy went out of town tonight to Kansas City, he will be back this Saturday. Funny story about him leaving...Randy calls to say he left his book on the bumper of his truck and he is on the highway. He asks for me to look on our street and the avenue to see if it came off after he left our house. So, Lexus and Brittany (neighbor) walk up the street looking for the book, and report they can't find it anywhere. Randy calls back from the airport to say he found the book still on the bumper. I am still dumbfounded how a paperback book could stay on a bumper from our house to the airport!
