Living La Vida Verde?

Are you living la Vida Verde? (living the green life) Today, they held a Earth fair at the top of the street, putting out the message and encouraging people to recycle, plant trees, and live a greener life for the planet and our future. My neighbor Sue was going up to buy a recycling container for $6 and I tagged along to get my own. We had started recycling the paper in our house, but now we can recycle plastic, glass, etc... They were handing out free oak seedlings to plant in your yard, free marigold seeds to plant, and literature on ways to help our planet. They had an extraordinary turnout! We are not the most Eco-friendly family, but we do try to do what we can...like recycling. Austin is even sporting a cute "Live Green" t-shirt today.

We are so proud of Lexus...she scored a goal today!!!! She was doing everything right! Dribbling the ball down field, she headed for the goal, it was kicked away from her, she burst past the girl catching up to the ball and in one swift kick...GOAL! She had a wonderful game and her team won the game 7-1! Plus, the weather was FABULOUS! Kimberly and I couldn't wait to break out the flip-flops, too bad you can't wear them all year. Although I do have a cousin who tries, he even wore them to x-mas one year!

We have been outside all day, in fact, I am typing this on the porch. The kids should sleep like logs tonight. They have been very active today running around with the neighborhood crew. Randy is out in the woods, hunting turkey with Matt.
